The tour
We start in Reykjavík, the wooliest capital of the North, and make our way to the West fjords in a comfortable private bus. Along the way we will visit spinners, designers, dyers, LYS’s, museums and we’ll see a lot of sheep!

We will then spend a couple of nights in a lovely, remote little village called Flateyri where we will indulge in our knitting, meet the local knitters, have workshops from the tutors and enjoy hiking in the wild mountains.

A visit to the knitting capital of the West can’t be missed when you are in the West fjords. The knitters in Ísafjörður are the luckiest ones on the whole Island because the only real knitting café in Iceland can be found there. You will love the charm of the town!

The guest house, Grettisborg,  in Reykjavík is located right down town where everything is buzzing with culture and creativity. You will love the atmosphere and see knitters lurking on every corner.

The guest tutor
We are SO happy to present Stephen West as a guest tutor on this tour. Also known as Westknits, Stephen is one of the fastest rising stars in today’s knitting world. His innovative shawl and accessory designs first caught our attention and when we asked around we got only superb reviews from those who have attended his workshops or worked with his patterns. Stephen currently resides in Amsterdam where he studies dance and choreography but fortunately he also finds time for new designs. Find out more about Stephen on his web site.
